AIRAH’s The Future of HVAC Conference 2015 will return August 18–19 in Melbourne, looking into the HVAC industry’s future – contemplating the challenges, technology and bright new ideas that await.
The conference will explore industry research, state-of-the-art technology, education, and future design conditions.
Our Managing Director Yale Carden will be presenting at the event on Tuesday 18th August. He will be speaking about thermal storage.
His presentation is titled:
“Thermal potential within the built environment – Identifying locally available heat sources, heat sinks and thermal storage.”
Traditionally, HVAC systems have used the local ambient air (heating and cooling) or fossil fuels (predominantly heating through combustion) as their heat source and heat sink. As an alternative, and a relatively new application, thermal storage typically requires large volumes of water or ice.
This presentation will explore the available thermal potential within the built environment and how the utilisation of this thermal potential can provide efficient heating, cooling and hot water as well as thermal storage.
Yale will illustrate how an integrated approach can maximise the availability of on-site renewable power generation, further increase energy savings, decrease the typical cooling peak demand and increase energy productivity.
We’d love to see you there.
Registration for the event is now open. Early bird registration for the event ends 17 July.
