Slim Jim Lake Plate Heat Exchangers are an alternative to the traditional use of pipe coils in closed water loop systems. Their main advantage over pipe coils is their quick installation, especially for larger systems where connecting hundreds of coils can be labour intensive. Multiple Slim Jims can be manifolded together off site, delivered to site and then simply connected to the headers.
Slim Jims are typically constructed of stainless steel, although both aluminium and titanium plates are possible for sea water applications.
